Forage Facts

The relationship between predator and prey is an intricate thing.  Find one, you'll often find the other in close proximity.  But sometimes, knowing that extra little bit can spell the difference between failure or success.

I've gone to the trouble of not only listing primary forage for most species (with the exceptions of most insects) but have given each their own pages to provide a little bit of in depth knowledge.

If you know what the prevalent and secondary forage is on the body of water you are fishing, what its patterns are during prevailing temperature ranges and seasons, odds are more in favor of you finding fish faster.

I'm taking this particular page pretty seriously.  Its a work in progress and I have a long way to go on it before I can get it complete.  Bear in mind, I'm gearing this towards the water bodies and river systems I fish so some of this may or may not be applicable.  I may also add secondary sources of reference, like dissertations, research papers etc, to encourage your searches for more information.
